Epson Pro Center

Epson India along with their pro-graphic partner, Venus Infotech, has launched its first Epson ProCentre in Mumbai’s Lower Parel. The ProCentre will showcase a range of solutions targeted at the print and publishing industry. Epson’s customers would also get a live demonstration and witness the quality of 17 to 64-inch-wide professional outputs on various media. The ProCentre will also ensure availability of consumables.

Commenting on the Mumbai launch, Mr Etsuo Fujita, MD, Epson India said, “Mumbai is its main market and thus the focus will be strong on India. Epson is very upbeat about its offerings in the large format professional graphics segment and by opening this ProCentre we hope to reach out to the graphics segment in an environment in which they can make an informed and wise purchase decision.” He also added that in spite of the global economic meltdown, Epson was gung-ho about the India market.

Mr. Ram Prasad, GM, Epson India, said, “The ProCentre is our first in India. Through the ProCentre we stand committed to the end customer. Epson wants to reach the customer faster.” Further elaborating on Epson’s philosophies, he added that the company’s strength was true colours -- its inks. Sixty per cent of the company’s employees were chemists. After all -- he added nostalgically, what the eyes sees the camera captures, and the climax is the finished product, which is where Epson stands out.

Mr. Hemanshu Desai, founder of Venus Infotech and one of the three partners of Think Print, was both extremely pleased and humbled on the occasion of the opening of this industry resource and demonstration centre. He hoped the ProCentre would help customers make informed buying decisions. Hemanshu has over 27 years experience in the graphics art industry, providing system integration and software solutions. Among the invitees was Kakubahai of Photokina, an eminent photographer, who complimented the opening of the ProCentre.
